Have you ever heard that to figure out the future, you have to learn the past? Well the same applies to fashion! Trends tend to repeat themselves, maybe not in order, but those bell bottoms you once rocked might just come back into style. (I’m waiting for wearing pants at your knees, with a belt to go out of style) Anyways, to become a total fashionista and an amazing trendsetter, you might just have to crack open the history books and get down to work. Summer Beauty Essentials

I really wish I was sitting on a beach right now.  The water looks so gorgeous! Instead, I’m in scorching weather, attempting to keep cool. Anyways, I don’t know about you all, but I don’t really put a whole lot of makeup on in the summer. It just tends to feel sticky, or like it’s going to melt right off my face. So, I like to keep my skin lightweight and breathable, with a little bit of lip and cheek color, maybe a hint of mascara, and of course, covered in SPF! Here are 6 essential beauty products that I need during the summer…

NOTD: Sally Hansen Rose Wine

20120708-092058.jpgToday I have a quick nail of the day! I’m out of town this week (no worries, posts will be up!), and I decided to give myself a fresh manicure last night. Of course, by time I got up this morning one nail had been chipped out of an otherwise perfect manicure. I decided to go with a simple pink color that would go with anything. The one I picked is from Sally Hansen’s Hard As Nails line, which I absolutely adore! The colors are really pretty, and the nail polish dries pretty fast which provides for minimal damage. The coats are not that thick, so for a lasting mani I suggest coating about 3 times. The color I used is Rose Wine. It’s a really pretty, simple pink, but it tends to change color in different lights which I love. For more pictures and other pink polishes keep reading… Continue reading

Look 4 Less: Victoria Justice MTV Awards

Victoria Justice dresses 2012 MTV Movie Awards

Victoria Justice MTV Movie Awards 2012

You guys have hard me say over and over and over again, how bright pops of color are very in this season. Well, clearly Victoria Justice knows this as she rocked a gorgeous outfit at the MTV Movie Awards this year. If you notice, the yellow skirt adds a nice bright color to an otherwise neutral outfit. She matched the skirt with a white top, and black accessories. She’s put it together very carefully, so that instead of turning out to look like a bumblebee, she gives off a very effortless but pretty appearance. It’s very casual, and makes her seem down to earth. One thing I really like about this look, is that it’s so easy for anyone to pull off!  The pieces she used are flattering on any body type, because she brings everything together with a big black belt, making the waist seem smaller. The black heels elongate the legs, and the asymmetric top is good for people who are conscious about broad shoulders, or for those who don’t like to wear strapless, and you can keep cool in it.  I’ve put together a very similar outfit, for probably a much cheaper price, so you can wear this gorgeous outfit this summer! Have you ever heard that to figure out the future, you have to learn the past? Well the same applies to fashion! Trends tend to repeat themselves, maybe not in order, but those bell bottoms you once rocked might just come back into style. For our own good let’s hope pacifiers don’t come back into trend (yes! during the 90’s people sucked on colorful pacifiers supposedly to prevent teeth from grinding together when doing drugs like Ectasy, but pretty soon pacifiers appeared on rings and necklaces too. Weird!). Anyways, to become a total fashionista and an amazing trendsetter, you might just have to crack open the history books and get down to work. Trend 2 Try: Arm Candy

Arm Candy Title #armcandy, #armparty, you’ve seen it all on twitter, instagram, and facebook. Stacking jewelry on your arm is one of the recent trends to hit the female population. You can stack bracelets, wraps, watches, bangles, cuffs, basically anything that goes on your arm. It’s bright and colorful, and there’s virtually no rules at all! The bracelets don’t necessarily need to match, so you can wear a silver watch with a gold chain bracelet and a hot pink wrap around and you’re hosting a party on your arm (that sounds so silly!). All the different colors and patterns are put together to create one giant (or small) splash of color to your outfit. So let’s add a little #armcandy to #bubbly…  Continue reading
