NOTD: Copper Coast

20120731-140446.jpg I’m going out of town soon, and I won’t be back until the end of August, so I was looking for a single nail polish color that I would be happy to have on my nails for an entire month, as I only wanted to travel with one nail polish. I found this coppery gold color that is perfect to finish off summer and take me straight into fall. It’s beautiful with tanned skin – it’s fairly neutral, but adds a nice shimmer to your nails. Another bonus is that the color changes from a gold to a copper to (a personal favorite) rose gold. Keep Reading for full details and pictures…. Continue reading

Lace you unTeal the Edge Outfit

I wouldn’t call my style edgy by any means, but I can see myself wearing the outfit below. I find that in winter my outfits tend to consist of darker colors, but in the spring and summer I always dress really bright. This outfit kinda blends the two, as you have the black shorts and accessories, but then a bright pop of color in the shirt. The shorts are lace, which is a trend I’ve been absolutely loving, but because they’re a bold statement within themselves, you don’t want to pair on too many accessories. I picked some black strappy sandals, a cute black crossbody (it’s studded detailing totally match the edgy side of the outfit), a necklace, and a couple of bracelets. This outfit is definitely one for the night, but I’m not quite sure where I would wear it to… Where could you see yourself wearing this outfit?

Floral Pink Day at the Mall

Today’s outfit is a girly one filled with florals and pink, and perfect for a shopping trip! I basically caught hold to the last wind of summer, with the neon pink pants and the crochet tank. It’s super comfy for the mall, but you’ll still be a fashion statement. I simply added a pair of comfy wedges (a must-have in a closet!) and some girly pink accessories. I absolutely am loving the watch and the ring — they’re so cute! You don’t have to wear a ring, because I know some of my friends are hesitant about it because when trying on clothes it may slip off, but it was too cute to resist!

Beach Night

Anyone heading to the beach tonight? I wish. Rather, I’m heading to the total opposite — a movie theater (to see The Amazing Spiderman!). Anyways, in my desire to be on a beach right now, I decided to create an outfit for a night on the beach. I tried to incorporate the Tiffany blue that many of us associate with the beach but also the colors of the sunset. I loved the combination of coral and blue so voila — here’s tonight’s outfit.

Look for Less – Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland I can’t be the only person who thinks that Sarah Hyland looks absolutely stunning in this pic, at the Outfest Closing Gala. Her cherry red Ted Baker dress enhances her tan complexion, and suits her body perfectly. The ‘Modern Family’ star’s entire ensemble was very simple and chic, so pairing the dress with minimal accessories was an excellent choice. Nude peep-toe pumps by Sam Edelman elongated her legs, but didn’t distract from the deress. A simple key neclace, and a single braclet finished it off. This is totally a look that I would wear, but I can’t (unfortunately) afford a Ted Baker dress. No problem, though! I found really good dupes for all the pieces in this outfit so keep reading for full details! Continue reading

What’s In My Purse?

Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m a pretty nosy person, and I love to see what’s in other people’s purses. It’s kinda odd (and maybe illegal) to rifle through people’s bags and their belongings, but the ever-so wonderful Internet has provided a way for people to show what they want to show from their bags. So here I am, showing you guys all the junk in my purse! Keep reading for a full set of details on the bag, and all the stuff inside….

Plenty of Peplum

You’ve been seeing celebrities on red carpets wearing some extra fabric around their waist. You’re probably staring at it with mixed feeling, it’s attractive in a weird way. Well that little bunched up fabric at the waist line is called a peplum and I’m sure you’ve seen it before on the edges of blazers and jackets. Recently, when the trend came in this year, it’s just gotten  more exaggerated and been popping up on dresses and skirts. It’s been featured on the runway from the fall of 2011, through Spring/Summer of 2012 and is expected to reappear when the colder months come in. Keep reading for pictures of the runway, peplum dresses on celebs, and what peplum pieces you could add to your wardrobe to spice up your look… Continue reading

Miranda Cosgrove Premier Outfit

Miranda Cosgrove at the premier of “Cloud With a Chance of Meatballs”

In everyday fashion, many of us choose to pick many pieces and put them together to make a complete outfit. However, it’s important to remember that you don’t need much to look good. What i’m saying is that if you only wear few pieces (ex. shirt, jeans, necklace), you can make your outfit look however you want by pairing the correct pieces together. Don’t believe me? Take a look at Miranda Cosgrove’s premier outfit. Although she only has four major pieces, her whole outfit looked gorgeous and acceptable for a premier of a major movie. Keep reading to see how she paired her different pieces, and read how you can get this look without spending too much money!

Pop of Neon

One of my favorite ways to wear lace is to wear it in a dress. A white lace dress is classy, elegant, and can be worn in many different ways. Today, I chose this beautiful lace white dress with a neon yellow collar. The contrast between classy and trendy works very well in this dress.  I didn’t want to make the whole outfit too neon, so I simply matched the nail polish to the collar of the dress. Then, I accessorized with gold because gold and white work wonderfully together. To add a little retro twist into the outfit, I chose cat-eye sunglasses.

Party in Pink

If you couldn’t tell, gold and black accessories have been my latest craze. And of course, this pinkish coral color is always a girl’s best friend! I would totally wear this outfit for a fun night out with my girlfriends, or for a date. As you can see I paired this very trendy coral lace dress with gold and black accessories,  a pink lip (that’ll stay very moisturized thanks to the Revlon Lip Butter!) and a Tarte  blush that’ll last all night.
